When will I be notified if my abstract was accepted to the 2023 Tandem Meetings?

Abstracts are peer reviewed on their scientific merits and according to subject category. Individuals submitting abstracts must indicate the appropriate review category. Abstracts may be re-categorized to a more appropriate category based on guidance from the Tandem Meetings Co-Chairs. The ASTCT, CIBMTR and Tandem Meetings of ASTCT and CIBMTR reserve the right to make minor editorial grammatical/spelling changes if required for clarity of presentation. You will receive notification of acceptance by late November 2022.

 

When can I submit a Late-Breaking Abstract?

The submission of late-breaking abstracts will be allowed from November 22, 2022 – December 7, 2022 at 11:59 pm PT.

Late-breaking abstract authors must complete a request for information to explain the need for submission during the late-breaking abstract submission process, which will be shared with the abstract reviewers and program Co-Chairs.

 

What is the embargo policy for abstracts presented at the 2023 Tandem Meetings?

Abstracts submitted for presentation will be embargoed by the author(s) and the 2023 Tandem Meetings, upon submission.

Abstracts submitted for presentation to the 2023 Tandem Meetings will be embargoed by the author(s) and the 2023 Tandem Meetings, upon submission. The embargo will be lifted and abstracts will be made available for viewing on January 13, 2023.

 

Will sessions at the 2023 Tandem Meetings be available virtually?

The 2023 Tandem Meetings will offer a very robust live streaming schedule as part of the virtual meetings. Additionally, all registered attendees will receive access to all session recordings following the event. Please watch your inbox, this webpage, and the Tandem Meetings’ social media platforms for additional updates.

 

When will the searchable schedule be available?

The searchable schedule will be available mid-September.

 

When can I access the conference mobile app?

The 2023 Tandem Meetings mobile app will be available for attendees to download in February. The app will include an up-to-date schedule and program, attendee directory, floor maps, and more. Stay tuned for additional instructions at that time.

 

Health and Safety 

Will masks be required at the 2023 Tandem Meetings? 

As of now, masks are not required at the 2023 Tandem Meetings. We ask all attendees to respect the choices of their colleagues to mask and/or socially distance throughout the meetings. Masks will be available by request at the Tandem Meeting registration desk. 

Is there a vaccination requirement for attending the 2023 Tandem Meetings? 

The Tandem Meetings of ASTCT and CIBMTR strongly recommend that all attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and guests be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All attendees should self-screen and stay home if experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, and self-testing is encouraged. People with COVID-19 can have a wide range of symptoms, which can be found on the CDC website.

What is the 2023 Tandem Meetings health and safety policy? 

The health and safety of the 2023 Tandem Meetings attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and staff remains our top priority. ASTCT and CIBMTR are actively monitoring health and safety guidelines and planning an event that adheres to the latest guidance for masks, physical distancing, and related protocols defined by the CDC, the Florida State Department of Health, and local health authorities. Registration

Can I change my in-person registration to a virtual registration?

If you have already registered for the 2023 Tandem Meetings, you can modify your own registration category/sub-category by clicking here and proceeding through the registration process to ensure all fields are complete and updated. To request a refund, please provide proof of your updated registration via email to us here: TandemRegistration@conferencedirect.com.

Please note that by changing your registration type to virtual, this allows you to view select live-streamed sessions as well as on-demand recordings only.

 

Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

Yes, please email TandemRegistration@conferencedirect.com with your registration confirmation number and the name/contact information of the person within your institution that is taking over your registration. Please allow our team 48 hours to respond to your request during this time.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be sent in writing by January 25, 2023, to TandemRegistration@conferencedirect.com. Your registration fee, less a $75 administrative fee, will be refunded in the same form as the payment was made if cancellations are received by January 25, 2023. Registrations canceled beginning January 26, 2023, will not be refunded. Any exceptions shall be at the sole discretion of the Show Organizer.

Housing

How do I make a hotel reservation?

All hotel reservations for the 2023 Tandem Meetings must be made online. Attendees must register for the event first and then will be able to make a housing reservation.

 

What are the official hotels of the 2023 Tandem Meetings?

Hotel room rates are subject to availability. Rates listed are single rates and do not include applicable taxes and fees.

How do I modify or cancel my hotel registration?

Please make all hotel changes, including cancellations, online at 2023 Tandem Meetings - Modify. Changes can be made online through Wednesday, February 8, 2023. After February 8, 2023, you will need to contact your hotel directly.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

All reservations require a valid credit card guarantee. Reservation cancellations will be subject to a $50.00 processing fee if cancelled on or before Friday, December 30, 2022, and $120.00 processing fee if cancelled after December 30, 2022. This fee will be charged at the time of cancellation and will appear on your credit card statement as “ConferenceDirectTandem”. In addition to this processing fee, cancellations and no-shows will also be subject to the individual hotel’s cancellation policy.

 

When will my waitlisted night be confirmed?

If your reservation contains certain nights that are currently waitlisted, rest assured that ConferenceDirect is working to complete your reservation as quickly as possible. You will receive an updated acknowledgement email when your reservation is confirmed in its entirety.

 

What if my dates are not available online?

If you want to extend your stay over dates not available online, please contact the Tandem Meetings Housing Bureau at TandemHousing@conferencedirect.com.

 

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be held as a form of guarantee only and will not be charged unless the reservation is cancelled as outlined in the above Cancellation Policy. All guests must provide a credit card at check in for their room, tax, and incidentals.

 

How do I make a special request? (i.e., two beds, non-smoking, high floor, etc.)

You may add your request to your reservation online. Please note, special requests are not guaranteed. The hotel will make its best effort to accommodate room type and special requests.
